inspired by another thread, how tall are you? did you buy your 5 series for size? note that the x in the poll options represents a decimal. 6 foot 6.9 inches falls under #8, not #9. i am going for specificity because it makes deciphering my options easier to choose from, and also because i know that no one lies on the interweb ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
btw, i'm 6' 6", or 5.7 inches since i already stated specificity is preferred. i guess the metric system would have made this shit WAY easier

I bought my 2004 in 2005 after test "fitting" the new (that year) 330. I'm a bulky guy (not too fat but not a rail either) and 6' tall. My wife looked at me in the 330 and said "it looks small on you". And with that comment and her full support I moved up to a 530. Sweet.
I tried the new 330 at the Advanced Driving Class a month ago. Clearly, that car has gotten bigger over the past 5 years. I might even consider it when the 530 needs to be replaced.
Cheers

I'm 5'11'' and I had a 3 series before upgrading to the 5. I was gonna get an e92 335i but decided to get the 550 instead, I like having more room and fell in love with the v8.

I've actively considered a 3'er ... I like the look of the 2dr but the backseat is best left to small people or children and I know none of either. The 4dr is OK but not someplace I'd personally want to spend any time as a passenger ... but I suppose I could pay my friends to tolerate the cramped space. That is made even more a problem since my spouse and I tend to drive with our front seats pushed back in the rearward most position - we both are near 6' tall and have long legs.
Then there's the "relatively" small difference in price between a fully dressed 3 series and a moderately /similarly equipped 5 series ...
