Does anyone know where I could get the same info (options list) about the 520i ?
I bought it a month ago from a BMW dealership here, and all they could give me was the extranet file, but is not very helpful.
That's a US info sheet.

The 520i has not been available in US and their E60's have a lot more extras as standard as the EU cars have.

But by asking details of what you want to know, I'm sure this fine Forum members can help you.

Main Menu iDrive --> hit scroller down (center menu) ---> Entertainment Settings ---> L7
Okay, so I called a local dealer and they were able to verify sport/premium sound off of the vin.

Is premium sound the same as L7? (The service guy wasnt in the mood for chatting...) Or are there various levels such as:

standard
premium
L7

Ive done menu--->entertainment, but it just goes to the cd info thats playing, I eject the cd and it goes to the fm tuner. Nothing that says L7.

Thanks

Hello all,

This is my first post, but I have been looking around for a few weeks. I've got a 2004 E60 that I'm interested in purchasing that claims to have sport package and Logic 7 sound. My question is, how do I verify this?

From what I can tell, there are no markings of L7. How would it be indentified?

The car does have sport wheels, extended sport seats and that dsc button below the cd/dvd slot.

Is there such thing as a sport steering wheel? If so, is it standard to the sport package?

The wheel thats in the car does not seem like a sport wheel. It looks/feels very standard.

If the car has the extended seats/dsc/wheels does that make it sport package?

Thank you for your help. I am very eager to get into an E60!!!

The "sport" steering wheel found in today's cars was only equipped on the SMG cars in 2004. You'll see the standard wheel - black accents on non-V8 cars and the metal accents on the V8 cars. Thickness will depend on whether or not the steering wheel is heated.

The sport package will only have staggered rims if it is a 545i. The other sport models have 4 rims of identical size.

The sport package also has ARS, but that isn't something you can see with your eyes. You'd feel it though. The car will corner very flatly.

I didnt know the 520i was just for us europeans
It makes sense, though, considering how much we have to pay for gas over here

I had no specific question for the moment, but other members here have been a great help, thanks everyone !
