20% all around is the way to go, unless your state has vehicle inspections, then that is the way to go! If you get 35% Id be willing to bet you wish you had gone darker shortly afterwards, especially on a back car. In Texas we had state inspections and most places have a light meter and if your darker then legal they wont pass you, but here in CO we dont have that, so you can go darker. As for mixing tint 35% front and 20% back or something like that...please dont do that that looks tacky!!!

depends on what type of tint you go with also......a dyed tint that is 20% will look darker than a 15% tint that is ceramic. I have 15% ceramic on mine....and you can see right through it on sunny days

LIMO. Cleanest look, do not get the fronts lighter then the rear tints, it just looks TACKY. Secondly I know alot of people are worried about a cop giving you a fix it ticket for front tint being too dark...
Here is my thought process on worrying about a $60 fine and $50 more to re apply the front tint after it has been signed off by the punk cops (sorry but they do nothing but take money and peoples freedom) = If you can afford a bmw then you should be able to afford $100 out of the pocket to get it fixed, NOT A BIG DEAL...
Just my opinion... Be sure to post up pictures on what you go with and best of luck bro!

Just had mine done. went for 30% rear and 50% fronts.
I chose this setup as the UK can be strict in some areas with the legal limit so decided to be a bit sensible. some are stating that you need to match the fronts and rear, but i find the car looks fine like it is! all down to personal preference!
Definitely go for around the 30% mark as this is a good mix with reduced sun in the car, improved security but without impairing your view. the fronts are down to personal preference and legal enforcements in your area.
