when I start out for work in the morning, the first shift is a little jarring. Everything is fine after that. Has anyone dealt with this? 145K

 

I'd say thats normal with 145K, every car I've ever owned has a random jerk on cold mornings, especially if it happens that i parked my car the night before before an incline or something similar. Probably due to the oil being still cold in the torque converter. In any case if you haven't serviced your trans yet, your way over due.
