Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to reset the brake fluid service light on a 2006 530d MSport.

I've seen the guides where you hold in the reset mileage button and wait for the yellow triangle but if i try that i get some other menu on the dash that doesn't make any sense to me.

Thanks in advance

Mike.

First off.. to the forum.

The upper right search bar is a very useful tool. I was able to find a few threads that might help..

Hi thanks for your reply but i'd already done several searches and wasn't able to find anything useful. The links you have posted refer to the guide I mentioned in my initial post. This doesn't work in my car maybe because of the push button start.

To confirm I'm trying to turn off the brake fluid service light not the brake pad service light.

Thanks again
Mike.

Mike, I had the same problem.....you get some kind of german writing correct? my mistake was I wasnt turning the key to the ON position, i was turning it to the ACC position. turn the key to the second position without starting the motor and that should fix the problem....at least it did for me.

Hi your right about the german writing and thanks for your reply. However my car is push button start so I can't turn the key. I can only press the button to turn the ignition on.

Thanks
Mike

that is a question maybe someone else may have to answer, because I dont know since your have push button if there is a difference between turning on the ACC power and having the ingintion in the ON position, because with a key system that is two seperate functions. My only other suggestion I would have is maybe start the car, then stop it but dont take the key out, maybe that would leave it in full ON position? then try it?
