How to replace HVAC buttons on a E60?
I just noticed today that my Max AC button has a crack through it and I wanted to know if someone knows how to just pop the button out to replace it. I found an OEM button cap set: https://www.ecstuning.com/ES2136226/ . I have heard from other E60 owners that you must replace the entire climate control module but hoping this is not true since BMW makes OEM replacement button set?
Thanks
Mitch

If theres a set then its replaceable though u'll probably take apart the HVAC attempting to do it. My auto button broke in half right after i bought my car but luckily i found the part on the floor and used Alteco to put the part back in(stuck it to the bottom part)

Hi there,
I haven't had the time yet but looking at the buttons it looks like you could pop them out with a flat head screw driver but preferably something plastic instead to not damage anything. I found other climate control modules on eBay for sale with those round buttons taken out so I'm hoping that is the way you would do it. I'm going to stop by BMW this weekend to see what they say. Are you experiencing the same on your vehicle?
