I recently had my service light come on for being low on brake fluid. I simply opened the hood removed the cabin air filters and added more brake fluid, but the CEL will not go off. I orginally assumed that the brake fluid had a sensor that would turn it off once more was added. How do I get the CEL to come off? can I go through i-drive and turn it off or do I need to buy a computer to do this?

are you referring to the warning message for brake fluid, or the actual CEL (check engine light)?
CEL is usually caused by an emissions problem. i highly doubt its due to brake fluid...

Is your gas cap on tightly? I think a loose cap will trigger the light and I think I remember hearing that after the cap is tightened, it might take a day or so for the light to go out (unless a dealer resets it manually.)
Other than that, I agree with jet190rs that a low brake fluid condition probably wouldn't trigger the light...
