I was just wondering about this on a recent business trip, where I was taken around by a driver, as to how boring the back seats of our cars are. BMW must know that in a lot of countries those who can afford these cars probably have drivers. Why then is there so little effort to make the back a bit more entertaining. I can finally see the reason behind the longer wheel based cars only being sold in China.

I think it's a deliberate attempt to get the "Once around the park, James" set to spend more on a 7-series. Besides, you really need the extra space to haul around all that Grey Poupon!

Drivers? BMW's are to be driven. Unless you're drunk... then you park in it till you feel better.

if a person was 'monied' enough to employ a driver, i suspect they would have something more upmarket than a 5 series................
