I always check out the other car/driver. What I notice first is the black inserts in the bumper. If they have it, they are typically not a E60 enthusiast. Get the reflectors at least.

Second, it is the rims. 17" = 525. Gotta change them out to 18" at least.

Otherwise, it is the exterior color that catches my eyes or a beautiful woman driver.

Funny how the majority of replies seem to center on "what does the other car LOOK like". I'm more interested in equipment - and frankly wheels or "aesthetic" kit come very very low down my list of desirable equipment, while most of the other equipment is not very visible - and engine. Plus the other driver - and how they drive.

I check em out all the time. First I have to make sure its really an e60...from a distance from the front those new 3rs throw me off once in a while.

I tend to check out what model but the font and where the numbers are placed as well as being so close together...I can never see what it it until I'm practically next to it! I guess I need better contacts.

I like to check out the mods...wheels, wings, etc.

Yeah....Just to let everyone know......525 AND 530's come standard with the 17" rims.... I personally like the style much better than the 530 SP wheels..... Jeesh....Everyone keeps relating 17" rims to 525's...Sorry...I had to make that clear... IMHO, one of BMW's most ugly wheel is the basic 525i 2004 16"rim

My 2004 525i had 17" rims too
I think they are OK apart from the RFT.

You have RFT's ??? In the U.S. I am pretty sure that 5ers that dont have SP do not have RFT's. I have Conti Touring Contact non-RFT and I am actually (to my suprise) VERY happy with them. Now my X5....Can you say harsh ride??? Sport Suspension and 19"rims...
