In the US the cars are cheaper but we get a--raped for what we pay to make others rich (medical, dental, drugs, political, insurance of all kinds, etc). And we get services from the gov't cut all the time, especially by the greed based Republicants who reward the people who don't need the money with all kinds of perks.

Oh dear Jimbo,
Maybe you should go live some where else in the world. Anywhere else so that you can truly appreciate just what this country has to offer. Just 4 months trying to make a living, buying a house, buying groceries, shopping for clothes, insuring your house, gasing your car, banking etc. I guarantee you will kiss the crowded LA freeway and the cars you would never be able to drive on your return home.

WOW! And I thought that the e60 was overpriced! (Look at some of the jap cars.... acura RL for example, more features - less money, but that's a different discussion)

I paid $59K US. $4K under MSRP. I love living in the US although I am ashamed of our current gov't. and don't pretend to justify it to my friends in the UK and Germany.

In HK a 545i is 785,000 HK$ or about US$ 100,000. From the previous posts, it looks like Ireland is the most expensive so far at about US$117,000. Haven't noticed anything in posts from Portugal, Denmark, Sweden or Finland.

Speaking of Taiwan,

The MSRP for a 545i is NT$4000000 or $US$125,000. My uncle cried when he found out that I paid less for my car than his 325i in Taiwan.
