How much of a downgrade is the non Logic-7 sound system?

To be honest I don't know the exact dates, BMW production run for E60 LCI was upto 2007-2010. After this they have F10 now which has CIC replacing CCC. I am not sure if they had CIC from 2009 or not. I recently bought a CIC which is coming from 2009 car but I don't know if it was retrofitted.

My car was build May 09 and has the CIC idrive, I believe that cars build from November 08 had the CIC idrive.
