2007 550i

I got my car weighed a little while back and wanted to post it up for everyone to see. The car is completely stock except I am running Hankook v12 which are lighter than RFT. You can subtract about 50 lbs for shit in the trunk and the spare/bmw tools. I myself tip the scale another 225lbs...

Anyway I wanted to get a base line. bottom line gross weight with no tear for me or stuff was 4280 lbs (i think the scale rounds to the 10th) How much does your ride weigh...REALLY weigh?

It would be 4,500 lbs. if my 220 ass was in the car. Its no surprise that drivers survive crashes in 5 series. These things are heavy like trucks!

According to MotorTrend a 2007 550i is supposed to weigh 3,803 lbs which would compare to your vehicle of 4005 lbs minus yourself and trunk stuff. Seems to be a big difference. There are a number of weights listed at various websites. The closest to yours is 3,946lb. I suspect options, trunk stuff, spare tires, tires and rims and even a full tank of gas (isn't it 10lb/gal??) can cause a huge variance so only a range will ever suffice.
Having documented here, my own 2X360 degree spins on a dry road and two hard hits, I can attest to the safety of the car; not to mention that I drove it to the autobody shop.

Well, the 530i is supposed to weigh something like 3410 lbs, add around 50 for the junk, and then comes the actual handicap, which is me at around 300lbs offseason, and close to 320 lbs otherwise. So it's almost like an empty 550i

And your measured weight of around 4000 lbs also corresponds very well to what the technical details say about 550.

2080 in the front and 2020 in the back. 4100 lbs full on fluids and no extra stuff in the trunk. Alot of scales round to the nearest 20lbs.
