This year it was $57, next year I'm expecting around $800-900 since in Bama tags are pro rated for the year. I got my car's tag in June, so I did not have to pay the full year. If I did not live in Bham, the tag will be much cheaper. Since each county and city set their own tax rate.

It's no wonder NJ has just about the highest taxes for everything in the U.S. EXCEPT for gasoline taxes and car registrations where we are among the lowest
