How Much Damage Is This? (PICTURES)

Hello friends,
I would appreciate it if you guys would look at the pictures and tell me how much damage you think this is (how much the body work would cost). It doesn't appear there is any damage to actual engine components, but I haven't driven the car too much since the accident. The headlight works well and does not show any structural damage (beyond a few rough edges on the bottom towards where the impact was), nor does the headlight feel like it is loose. This is an early model E60, I am located in the New York area.

Looks like new front bumper, front fender and possibly new headlight at minimum. Our fenders are aluminum so they are cheaper to replace than fix. Also, the bumper cover looks ruined, and the headlight probably has all broken tabs making it sit loosely in the socket. You'll now more when a good shop looks at it

Actually, the headlight looks fine to me. The headlights are only held together by 4 screws. Two on top, two on the bottom. The one that can most easily break is the one towards the fender. If that one is okay, I doubt anything else is damaged with the headlight. In addition, you can actually just replace that part, no need to buy a new headlight.
As for the other parts. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but to me, it looks like the fender can come out via PDR (but obviously you'll still have paint damage). The front bumper though, that's probably a goner.

No way PDR is fixing an aluminum fender Bro, they don't just "pop" back out like steel.

Similar thing happened to me on the rear bumper and part of the rear quarter panel. Cost was about $1800 (bumper was damaged and replaced). Although, my rear quarter panel was not replaced (since it actually expands all the way over the windows and to the front), just repaired.

If you will take to the right shop (BMW approved etc) you total should be close to $4k. Fender can not be fixed, it is aluminum. Headlight again, replace the housing. Bumper cover - replace, plus all little mounting hardware etc. Guess how do I know that

Like others have said, ideally you will need a new fender and bumper cover (about $700 in parts from BMW). The light might have been damaged as well (about $1000 on an average from BMW). Then all of the parts will need paint ($300 per panel on an average). The adjacent parts (left door and hood) may need to be blended for color match ($200 on an average per panel). So the grand total maybe come out to something like $3000 at a decent shop. However, I would not be surprised if you find someone who can use used parts or repair what you have for significantly less. You will just have to ask around and see what you can find. Good luck!
