just sold my 124's (1 wheel rashed) with continental tires (near new front, 70% back) on CL for $700. was listed for 1 day and it ws sold.
shipping tires through UPS/FedEx will probably cost you about $200-$250 from coast to coast. it's a PITA because you have to package them somehow.

you can also try and ship via greyhound...very inexpensive option as well...
