How many of you have hit a curb with the lower part of your front bumber and if so, what did you do about it? I've been extremely careful for 3 years not to do it but last weekend I did, putting some major scratches on the lower right front corner of my bumper. Trying to decide if I should fix it or live with it, as it is so easy to do.

I have an M-Tech aero kit. A piece of scrap metal flew out of a truck bed one lane over and hit my car in the lower lip. It was a 200 USD repair and re-spray job (blend in, no disassembly). Live with it if it doesn't bother you. You could wait a couple of weeks or after winter to decide if you still want to spend the money to repair it.

if its not very visible, i'd leave it cause it probably wont be the last time you hit something..........not saying you're a bad driver or anything like that, but you know what i mean.

This happened to mine on both sides (before the wife decided the 5 was too big to drive) I happened to be getting body work done at the time so insurance paid for it

My wife scraped both sides and the underside from curbs etc. I will get it touched up when the lease is up. I gave up worrying about cosmetics in lieu of domestic tranquility, LOL.

I've done it - and I try to be careful. But obviously not enough.
I'm leaving it for now, but considering replacing the lower air-dam.
Cheers

Try driving with it for a week. If it still bugs you, then go get it repaired. If it's not dinged too bad it should be a fairly cheap fix. I have hit some front curbs but it has put only minimal scratches on my carbon fiber front lip for my M-tec kit so it's no biggie to me. Lips = looks great and in cases like this they will take the beating instead of your bumper. Consider one!

Its not that much to repaint a bumper - if it bothers you enough, just do it. Around where I live a repaint of a bumper is anywhere from 200 to 500 dollars. And the price does not always directly reflect quality.
