does it typically take to get a VIN number assignment after an order is placed and confirmed with production number...? I thought it was only a few days.... interested in hearing your turnaround times.

Can vary but I seem to recall a gap of a couple of weeks before my car was assigned a VIN. The car usually gets the VIN when it gets scheduled for production but you should be able to track with the production number, if that's what you're looking for.

I received my production number on 6 Sep and as of today, 4 Oct, I'm still waiting for my VIN. It's scheduled for production the week of 15 Oct so I should be getting it soon.

I'm scheduled for production next week Oct 8 starting (Week 41) but don't have a VIN yet. Would expect it by end of next week tho.

I'm surprised by these times. I ordered my car on 8 Sept (a Saturday), and on Tuesday went to the Owners Circle, hit "Production Status" or something like that, and my VIN appeared.

Don't know why it's taking so long for you guys to get your VIN. I ordered my car on a Friday and signed on to the Owner's Circle and the VIN was there the following Tuesday.

6-7 more weeks to go!
