Hi, I have monitored my OBM coolant temp on my 6 mile journey home from work, with out temp 2.5*c, the car only reached 75 after 6miles?! How long does it take for others to reach their desired temp?! Sorry If the question has been asked before on this forum but I couldn't find a proper answer. And also would be grateful if someone could provide pics of lactation of both thermostats in a 520d LCI. Thanks

You can't just say I drove 6 miles and it only got to 75c because we don't know what speed you were going at, how many stop-starts you did, what inclinations you encountered, how heavy your right foot is, what pressures your tyres are running at, I could go on.
The only sure fire way to check if your thermostats are functioning properly is by cruising down the motorway at 65mph in 6th gear and seeing if the temperature stays at 90+ or not.

Before i have any thermostat changed a long trip on the motorway gave around 70 C
After change of agr thermostat this change to around 80C
And after a new water thermostat i finaly get between 88-93C
