How to increase Navigation voice volume?

Hi!

Does anyone know how to adjust the volume on the BMW Professional sat nav.

I have a 2005 E60 and I cant seem to work out how to do it.

When the voice is playing, if I try to do when it is announcing directions, the radio volume just increases afterwards.

Ath the moment you can hardly hear the voice directions over the radio volume. There must be a way to adjust the radio volume and the satnav voie volume separately

Any ideas?

It has the latest software as it went into BMW to get done last week and also had the MP3 retrofit which works fine while it was there!

From what I remember, you have to be on a route w/ guidance on and then you can just raise the volume by using the standard radio knob. You will notice that the volume of the instructions has increased.

well it supposed to work if you increase volume at the time it talks (navigation). if it douesnt work that way you might ask dealer if it is a software bug

OR When the female voice speaks, quickly press the volume + on the steering a couple of times in quicky.

Slightly off topic but why didn't BMW give us the option of a male voice. I rather take directions from a male and not female voice.

While the voice is speaking , rotate the knob where the Nav disc is inserted..........................easy

Steering wheel volume control works too

This should be easily possible for BMW, because this is a feature on Range Rover's, when they were owned by BMW...

Yeah, but at least she seems pleasant. The default female voice in the Garmins, like the StreetPilot or Nuvi, comes across like a real 8itch. "Recalculating...."

What's funny is that some countries do have a male voice...

I want the female voice from the 7 series in the Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies

Would have been a nice feature if you could upload voices from the NAV DVDs...maybe a feature on the new CIC?

because statisticly men respond to female voices more often than male.
