OK, can anybody tell me how fast they went on the Autobahn with a 545i keeping the revs under 4500.

Just curious to see what I can be looking forward to.

 

I was driving my new E60 on the autobahn. I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to do that again in my life. So my question was, and remains . . . what break-in period?

BTW, I cruised a couple of times for fairly long stretches at 135 mph. I was passed once by an A8 and once by a VW Phaeton.

 

After a few hundred miles, I was over 150 mph for a brief period.

 

The best I can do is 125 mph in U.S. I'd be arrested if I got caught by California Highway Patrol (CHP).

 

I was cruising at 120 for long stretches - 4000 RPM in 6th gear
