how effective is the tilt sensor on the e60?

I had the alarm go off once jacking, and I had an error message (flat tire) after I jacked it a few times. Once I got a flat tire message driving home, so I think my sensor is a bit flaky. I think this is normal for older e60's. What really scared me was a low oil pressure warning which literally vanished after I stopped. Too many sensors on these cars.
