how effective is the tilt sensor on the e60?

Default how effective is the tilt sensor on the e60?

theres been a rash of wheel theft in my area mainly jap. cars but seen a couple of benz and a 3 series get hit.. although i park on the top floor in front of the camera I just dont want to risk it... my condo is at eye level of the floor my car sleep in so thats a plus but you never kno.... feedback please thanx**btw I already know the whole if they want it they'll take em and wheel lock will slow them down just a bit..

just for the record I brought my car into the shop set the alarm and with 4 pumps of the floor jack the alarm did go off... I did all four jack points all accurate

Did you jack it smoothly? I often wonder if you went really slow just enough to get the wheel off the ground would the alarm go off? Also, keep in mind, that when you lock your car with one press of the button it arms everything and if you press the button twice it will disable the movement function...

@ baveagle my last sentence meant that i jacked the car up on each corner so lf,lr,rf and rr all good and wit the floor jack the lifted like 4 inches and still like 2 or 3 pumps before the tire came off the ground

one press of the button or i just touch the door lock cause i have comfort access.. 2 presses will disarm the motion and tilt sensors....

The guys in the shop thought they were going to be funny the other day, and take my wheels off. They said they got 2 pumps on the jack when the alarm went off.

The movement sensor off is good for pets left in the car?
