How easy is it to chirp your rear tires with a 535i Sports Auto Trans from 1st gear to 2nd? And the the 535i have enough torque to do the same from 2nd to 3rd gear?
Also in order to chirp the tires would I need to turn off DSC?

Just curious.

I don't have a SAT but I have tried on numerous equations to chirp the tires in my auto. It is basically impossible, especially with my roads being SO hot right now! (Can't even break my tires loose from a standstill with DSC off!)

I did manage to chirp my tires going from 1st to 2nd one time, the roads where wet, DSC off. Here's what I did: DSC off, 50% gas in 1st until I could feel the car get traction, then 80% gas, then take my foot off the gas, engage 2nd gear, slam foot on the gas - chirp tires. Keep in mind that this is REALLY bad for the transmission. You cannot treat an auto like a manual.

bmw's cut the fuel momentarily during shifts, so as to make a smoother shift.
you wont get harsh shifts in an auto.

wont happen on dry pavement, wont chirp on wet pavement. wont happen.

krozi, you are doing something wrong. i dont know much about the 545 though. i know with DSC off my car is a dog until about 2500-2800 RPMs, but once those turbos spool up, my rear tires just spin in first on dry pavement. i also have shitty RFTs though.

A 550i manual will solve your non-chirp problem.

subtle. i know, i will join the JB3 club. i am a cheap bastard. i actually track my budget closely and cringe when i buy stuff. i am the king of buyers remorse. when i start school in august and start drawing the GI bill while still working full time, i will have to work a chunk of that in for mods. if i allocate money in my budget for mods, it will add up fast and i am only dipping into extra money that i dont really need and i dont need to use credit cards.

Define doing something wrong?

You know that if you press the DTC button for 3 seconds DSC is inactive right? It says on the iDrive screen.

Press button once, DTC activated, DSC limited. Press button 3 seconds, DSC inactive.

With DSC all the way off I can't even chirp my tires from a dig because I get so much traction from the hot rubber on Florida roads.
The only way I can break my car loose is if I am running 4500k RPM in first gear and then punch it (with DSC inactive).
