How do you tell how much power

Hi All
Im in the market for a 530d Touring - my first adventure into BMWs!
When I go and look at a 530d SE, how can I tell whether I'm looking at a 214bhp or 231bhp version. The ones I am looking at are both 04 plate.

My Ride: BMW 535d M Sport
BMW updated thee engine at the same time as they updated the key. If it uses a traditional key to start the car it's the 218bhp engine, if it has a start button its the uprated 231bhp engine.
