Sigh... I'm so depressed I backed up to my friends trash can today. The thing was in the way back out of the driveway, and I was looking at my right rear view mirror which focuses down whenever you back up. So I couldn't see the thing anyways.

No paint was messed up, but there is about an inch or so dent right under my trunk lip.

What do you guys recommend doing to fix this?

+1 - PDR is the way to go ... inexpensive and quick. Call your dealer to see if they have one to refer you to or if they are a certified BMW Bodyshop their prices may not be any more than the independents. Whichever way you go be sure to check shop's work before you have them go ahead.

Before you try a home remedy ... be prepared to invest $50-100 to have it done properly.

I want to a pdr place to have mine removed. It cost about $100 and it was on a body line.

I also have the same dent near the trunk lip and took it to a paintless dent removal expert and they tried to remove the dent and told me it was unreachable. The way the trunk was it was hard to get to and unable to pop the dent back out so basically it means a new trunk. I could be wrong, but you might give it a shot with your specialist around your area. GL!

It might possibly work on a dent that wants to go back into position naturally, but on 99% of dents it doesn't work. It won't work on that bootlid and i'm afraid I doubt PDR will be able to fix it either due to the location. Hopefully I'm wrong work.
