I just ran to pick up some last minute stuff to take over to familys house as thats where all our friends and family will be. At the grocery store there was a blue E60 535i parked and when the driver turned the car off the mirrors automatically folded.
How do you do this? I asked him and he said he bought the car used so he is just used to it.

I dont think it will do it automatically in the US. He may have just hit the button when he shut the car off.
Anybody have a car in the US that does this without hitting any buttons?

there is a button next to the mirror button. If you hit it mirrors fold in, then you just hit it again to fold them out. if you drive with the mirrors in, the come back out automatically at 20 MPH.
The dealer can program them to fold in and out. People on this forum have done it i am pretty sure.

How do you make this happen *with* a button...which button(s)?
To the left is the fold button, in the middle is the wheel and to the right selects left and right mirror and tiltdown backup side mirror.

If you have an LCI (2008+) its with the mirror switch assembly on the drivers door.
To the left is the fold button, in the middle is the wheel and to the right selects left and right mirror and tiltdown backup side mirror.
