So I've only owned this car for like 9 months and I can't get the homelink to set for my garage door opener. Is there another way of doing this besides holding down the button of the garage clicker and the button on the homelink at the same time? Someone told me I probably needed to reset my garage door opener from the motor, whatever that means. Any help would be appreciated.

try putting your remote at different distances. if it's too close it won't work either. try from 1-12"

Try pushing and holding button 1 and 3 at the same time. Wait for the red light to go in sequence( slow blinks then fast blinks. Release after it stop blinking. Next, push and hold the button you want to set with your remote, place the garage door remote close to the rear view mirror and press and hold. Again wait for the sequence of blinking light. Release both buttons after the red light stop blinking. It should be set after that.

Once your HOMELINK has learned the remote you may have to pair with the receiver. With LIFTMASTER you have to push a "learn" button on the
receiver then push the button you've just programmed on your HOMELINK.
