if you are talking about the BMW logo that displays when you first turn on the car - it ONLY displays while the iDrive computer is booting up. afterthat you will see the iDrive main screen, the one with arrows pointing & desribing what is where.

(NAV right, Entertainment down, Communication up, Comfort/AC left) <-- thats for NAV cars.

The difference with the BMW sign is between the types of Navi.
Business Navi - smaller screen = no BMW startup logo, just straight to the I drive menu
Professional NAvi - bigger screen= BMW logo at the startup

This is the menu of the iDrive which will stay after the iDrive has booted up & (if you are in the USA, you will have to press ACCEPT to a information screen)

i am still looking for the initial iDrive BMW LOGO screen ...

where are you located, and if outside the US .. is it NAV PRO, or Busines NAV ?

Hey wizmaster,

What's with the mail icon next to the bluetooth?
I've never seen that one before.
Obviously it notifies you if you have mail?

Never seen it in a E60 before but in the 7 series with built-in phone it notifies you that you've received a SMS message.
I guess it works the same with the 5 series, so it has nothing to do with e-mail.
It would have been nice though .
