How to Check Windscreen Fluid level

Hi Guys, I am looking to check the fluid level on the windscreen fluid on E60. If I have a missed a post, please direct me.
Also, what windscreen fluid does BMW uses?

My Ride: '06 530i, '07 C280 4matic, '98 ML320
open the hood and look towards the front of the car near the drivers side headlight; you will see the filler cap for windshield washer fluid. Remove the cap and you will be able to fill it up. If you live in colder climate, fill it with appropriate (non-freezing) washer fluid.
If you live in warmer climate (temp never goes below 40), you can use distilled water with little bit of shampoo added to make the water slippery for the wipers to slide easy on the windshield. I say distilled water to keep parts from oxidizing.
