AFAIK you have to do the following:
- push the menu knob
- hold down the iDrive knob 10 seconds
- turn the iDrive knob three times clockwise
- turn the iDrive knob three times anit-clockwise
- turn the iDrive knob one time clockwise
- turn the iDrive knob one time anti-clockwise
- hold down the iDrive knob for a short time
now you enter a menu and there is anywhere your CIP number...
This information is supplied without liability

Hmmm!!! Maybe im doing something wrong but it doesn?t seem to work
I'm holding the menu button down then pressing the i-knob for 10-15 sec
then release all buttons twist 3 step to the right then 3 step back then 1 step to the right then 1 back then push the i-knob for some time and nothing happens
is this the right way to do it or???

You are NOT able to see your CIP version. Only the dealer can tell you!
