Dear e60 Forum,
I took out my front fog lights for my new M5 front end, and got brake its air vents working perfectly, but how can I get the fog light malfunction error from showing up each time I start my BMW to disappear off my idrive screen?
I asked my BMW SA at my local dealer and he wanted $260.00 from me to let on of his Service tech's do it. Now it is quite annoying, but so is coming up with and then shelling out $260.00 for the malfunction of my fog lights message on my idrive to disappear!!
I was wondering if any of you guys ever had this problem before, and if so, do you know of a way cheaper than 260.00 (maybe a DIY?), around this: LT and RT for the RT and LT fog light malfunction message to disappear from my idrive? Can I purchase from a third party company of a programmer instrument that can do this re programming my idrive not to read this, or am I stuck paying BMW 260.00!!
Thanks in Advance guys!!

would those canceler cables they use for HID kits do the trick I mean if you just hook up the canceler ballst and not plug in an HID bulb, will no error code still be the end result?
