Got in my car this morning and pulled out of my driveway and an
incredible rattling noise started up -I thought it had started to hail. But
no - it was my door windows! If I wind them down a notch then the
creaking stops.
Bizarrly this has affected ALL four windows simultaneously. The only way to stop
the noise is to wind down all windows by about 1cm. Not nice since its about 6C
outside.
And the worst thing about it - I picked up en exec who had flow in from the US this
morning. His comment was Nice Car - WHAT THE HELL IS THAT NOISE!
Could this be related to the need for Carbaflo ?

Is Carbaflo applied as a paste or is it a spray - what's the story on it's endurance?

Had to take my 530i (04) several times to dealership. They replaced window seals twice without result. Finally, service manager took a ride with me and found the problem. It is friction of door panels agains door causing creaking especially if driving on uneven road and if it is dry and warm(sound is gone when is dump and cold). So, service removed all door panels and "greased" them. This seems to cured the problem. So do not be shy, go to dealership and request prolbem to be fixed.
