Horn not working
So I haven't driven my car in about 4 months or so. I pulled it out the other day and was driving it. Found out that the horn doesn't work. So I check fuses and no problems. So I used the famous BMW mechanic trick which I've been using for almost a decade. I unplugged the two connectors on the horn and plugged them back in and voila! Works perfect. Amazing right? Ridiculous.

Probably the [electrical] contacts on the horn must've been rusted and lost the contact. Removing and reconnecting must've scratched the contact surface and made the electrical connection. That would be my guess.

I just posted so that some other poor chump out there tries this on any electrical part of the vehicle. It has worked on camshaft position sensor, MAFS, final stage unit, seat motors, and now horn.

yep - I think this is why the auto parts stores always try to sell the bulb grease! Keep the corrosion down.

Horn is located behind the front bumper on the passenger side just in front of the wheel liner. It's readily accessible either by removing the passenger headlight or by removing the splash shield underneath.
Picture below is taken after removing passenger headlight and looking straight down.
Disconnect the connector on the horn and check if there is corrosion on the connector. Spray some electrical parts cleaner and reseat it properly.
