So I recently replaced the roundels on the hood, trunk, and steering wheel along with replacing the letters to gloss black. I just feel it's a bit out of place somehow. I also plasti dip the trunk key hold and the chrome license holder, leaving the embossed BMW letter normal since it does not have any chrome in it.

I did encounter one problem, hopefully someone can help me out here. For the hood roundel, I cannot get it to lay flat against the hood, like the OEM. It's raised a bit causing it to move up and down if someone was to push the top or bottom part of the roundel. I did try to push the grommet all the way down before inserting the roundel.

Another thing, does anyone have a pic of the gloss black exhaust tip installed? Thinking of doing that to completely get rid of all the chrome part on the rear end.

Yes I know I need a car wash but I just want to finish with all these simple mods and touch up all the rock chips on the hood first before I proceed to the body parts.

Any luck getting the logo to sit right? You should be able firmly press down with your palm to put in the proper position. Anything stuck in the holes? Maybe something is warped?

not yet...tried using the old grommets but still same result. Thinking of removing the grommets and shave off a bit on top to make it more flush. Well either that or cut the bottom end of the grommets to see if the roundel can be pushed in more. Will measure it later on today to see what's the best way.

How did you replace the roundel on the steering wheel? I thought you couldn't do that without replacing the airbag cover?
