after digesting the materials, I have a framework for you mod fanatics:

1) unsprung and ineria weight - ie, lighter wheels + tyres, brakes
2) weight around front / rear / top of the car - ie, cf hoods/trunk, battery
3) lighter seats, exhaust, etc

o yeah wight is the key to a fast car.
Just look at all the mad car built in UK well under 1000kgs
Caterham, lotus

On my next car this is what I will do.
CF Bonnet
CF Boot
Exhaust
lighter wheels
lighter brakes pads and disk
only have half a tank of fuel
take out all the crap in the boot
change the seats to lighter sport leather seats

EBC recommends 545i use the yellowstuff, so mikehk, if you wanna upgrade urs, get the yellowstuff

So it can be summaries as follow:
greenstuff < 200bhp
redstuff >200bhp
yellowstuff >300bhp
