great, the best thing that can happen, getting your mod part to arrive on time!!! i am very envious of the M steering wheels that you guys have, mine feels like a truck wheel and the leather is not soft...................
Go get one at BMW Hong Kong. They are on sale right now. You won't regret it. Once installed, you will ask yourself why didn't you change it earlier.

no way, i am making up for lost time, you guys have been at it for ages,
and derrick's mods are highly contagious....wait till our apprentice ET starts going full-speed ahead,
if the 1st mods pass the wife, then you will be encouraged to do more and more
my wife hasn't noticed the quads yet.... all sharp things durians, glass have been removed from my flat and i have bought roller skate knee guards....
man I am trying very hard to resist the temptation from u devils...

bill, the best remedy to wife's reaction is to get some gift reserve so u can throw some weapons out to keep her quiet when shit happens. I have a birkin and diamond earrings ready all the time, the best thing is that you can sell them out later on if u find that u don't need it at all.

Your wife will find out your quad exhaust and CF rear diffuser very soon cos' they are very eye-catching, expecially in contrast with your silver tone paint. Hmm, make sure you hide a spare key of your car somewhere. You'll need it.
it's very eye catching if you look at it, but my experience with my wife is that she doesn't care at all. i drive her home everynite and after a week of installing the sports steering wheel i told her it's new, and she's like "yea I thot it's new too, cos it looks thicker and smaller and not just rounded..." I think she will just forget it if I stay silent.

btw, she hasn't found out about my CF splitters yet.

how much difference v stock when turning in etc,.
i have to make sure the wife can handle it.
my hesitation is because of the warranty, and the airbag issue

old diffuser was black, so not noticeable, and the arqray's tips don't stick out too much,
'anyhow she is driving the car today, lets see what she says,
i will say that i had a twin tip welded on.....

I would say the M5 steering wheel is easier to turn but may need to turn a little more to make a complete turn than the stock one. It's hard to describe with words. You have to try it to feel the difference. The stock one feels like driving a bus.

Warranty should not be affected since it is a genuine BMW product and they can install it for you for $200. What's the airbag issue ?

Do you mean that the orig airbag is retained and you just change the steering rim and boss?
Very tempting if so, do you mean the m5 or m steering wheel is on sale?

No, you must change the steering wheel & the airbag together (unless you already have the round airbag). They are both on sale at the BMW HK now. I think the price for both (must sell together) is HK$11,000.
