Plus the impression in HK is rich folks will definitely challenge the police if they get pull over, they will bring out their lawyers and stuff

Police are more curtegous if you are dress well and in a nice car, especially a M5.

Very useful informations....goodstuffs AC_S5
Especially the info about the replica wheels....cos i was struggled in the beginning when choosing between replica and genuine wheels....and what you've said above had determined my choice that i wasn't wrong.......cos i have ordered a set of OEM 172M from quad_m earlier.....althought i was very expensive (GBP 1000 inc shipping to HK)....but that seems worth it!!!! (Now just a bit worrying about my mum and sister will kerb the wheels..heheee)
Cheers

to own a euro car means you've got a least some money disposable. Also stereotyping comes into play.
ie. My tinted BMW next to a tinted WRX. The cop is more than likely to pull over the WRX.

Cause if you have a European car in HK, the impression is that you are rich. And rich folks don't mind going to the shop to take off the mods have it re-certified then put it back on again.
Plus the impression in HK is rich folks will definitely challenge the police if they get pull over, they will bring out their lawyers and stuff

Hahhaha thats not the case here in the states... nice cars the cops will harass you more. They're jealous. the worse car you have they'll stay away... they dont want to get shot cuz you might be shady.
Take a look at Paris Hilton for example... poor girl... rich as a mofo the cops and judge put her in jail for driving without a license...

I traded my E46 for a Xterra for this reason, got pull over more often in a Bimmer then any other car for stupid reason.
