never been and I think the sound will be $hit too. No DTS or 5.1.
I just found out from my frend in LA, that most of them are closed down, so I don`t know why they have got 1 in HK.
I will not go there in the summer when itis over 35c. no air-con

One of the coolest Drive Ins I went to was at Paramount Pictures. It was to the premeire of the Italian Job movie in Hollywood. Couple hundred MINI owners got to watch the movie 2 weeks before it was released at the threaters. The article says 250 but I think they invited more than that. Some drove couple states just to attend and i think 1 or 2 people shipped their car from Hawaii just to go... too funny. I was lucky enough to just have to drive 2.5 hours to attend. At that time I was living in San Diego not LA.
Heres an article I was able to dig up thats still online.

Here are some pics.

Haha...is anyone been there before? Interesting...how does the theater transmit the sound? Through radio channel?
Plus no A/C in the summer and no choice for movie as you see what they show, I think it will be closed down by summer.

That place cost more than going to a cinema for a party of two. If you got 4 people in your car is also stupid too, the people in the rear can't see $hit.

close down after new year haha
wrong on the cost for 2, infact itis $10hk cheeper
$60 for ticket =$120
$40 for parking for 2h or more if over 2h film
total is $160 in cinema
only $150 at the drive-in cinema.
BUT for the $10 more I go to cinema, better sound, better seats, air-con, 4 people can see the film, no dust better air and better food.
