The insurance company informs me that although they are covering my Brembos
on the insurance, but that is dependant on them being a legal modification in the first place,
they are under no obligation to check if its legal!
which means you have to do the TD type approval thing............
so that means if there is a big payout, they will first pay out and then get that back from the driver
of the car if its not type approved!
what a bummer!!

Do you have to notify the insurance company for all the mods in order to get covered? Assuming the mods are legal.

yes that's right, i've just found out that they've charged me for covering my brembos
but only if they are legally modified, so they are keen to get your money without telling you that!!

Will 'Driving a Defective Motor Vehicle' constitute 'Dangerous Driving' ?

Under the new 'Dangerous Driving' provision, a person is to be regarded as driving dangerously if it would be obvious to a competent and careful driver that driving the motor vehicle concerned in its current state would be dangerous.

Do not drive a motor vehicle if it is obvious to you the vehicle is in a defective state, e.g.

the braking system failsone or more of the tyres is (are) badly worn out/burst

So each op arrested 30+ people. If those 12k organized a drive to lobby a better mod law, that would be quite a sight!
