Think lenovo thinkpad is still choice for the corporate, customer support is good
fujitsu - a friend had one 4-5 years ago, ironically, didn't survive a trip to japan. Don't know abt the build quality now. If interested, I can get uni discount, let me know
acer - bought gateway so some models are essentially the same but gateway seems to have better build
if u travel around a lot w the notebook and just need to to sur the web and email, get one that's light (less than 2kg) and has a solid build and make sure it has decent support

i will go down next Monday to pay and fit, unless he is desperate then pls PM me his hsbc A/C and i will e him.
is that ok sir?
Apple - i hear the latest model uses the old cpu, Capt are you sure it is a daily biz machine or for designers only?
it is cheap v Sony.
IBM= Lenovo, already have one broken down at home
Fujitsu - this is a very good option, thanks for reminding me, i had one before which never broke down
Sony - the new one with 250gb memory cards io hard disk is nice but 20k!+1500 for extended battery is a bit much
Acer - ferrari, any good?
or should i be a slaveowner (poor workers) and buy a i-pad?
does that work?

if u just need to surf the web
i pad is the best choice
it can do office file edit as well
but need some setting up , not as fast/direct as a notebook
and the main problem is apple don't like to share with others
you can't even copy a file from/ to another notebook
now you need mac book air to travel around :

i am using a Sony carbon fibre VGN-G118 GN/T 1.15kg 12.1inch, it is falling apart after 3 years of daily use, but hasn't broke down
once.
i really like the Apple, but if using office and outlook is there a problem? it is cheaper as well, if i get the apple+windows 7+office+other stuff it is still cheaper than the Sony +enlarged 8hour battery, Captain are the apples really that good?
26th is D day, polish up your motas boys,
once.
