You won't get 3 points deducted when you exceed the speed limit by equal or less than 15km/h then you will be fine

i.e. on a 50km/h zone, you can do up to 65km/h, only fine, no point deducted (usually they would allow 3km/h error, ie they would consider 65km/h as 62km/h).

case 2: If you drive at 69km at a 50km zone, you are overspeed for 15km after counting the tolerance, fine = $320 no points deduction.

case 3: If you drive at 70km at a 50km zone, you are overspeed for 16km after counting the tolerance, fine = $450 3 points deduction.

case 4: If you drive at 84km at a 50km zone, you are overspeed for 30km after counting the tolerance, fine = $450 3 points deduction.

Similar for other road limit.

Last time, when I was caught at Kwai Chung going uphill on a bridge. The police said the limit is 50 and I am driving at 92 (88km after tolerance),so 5 points gone. I have argued with him that the bridge is 70km limit wor,(looking way to deduct 3 points rather than 5 points) but he said I did not reach the 70km zone yet when I was shot.....

Nothing to say immediately....
I remember only 3km/h error is allowed, not 4.
And case 2 should be $450 fine, no point deducted.

ive been quite lucky, havent had a ticket for a long time.

6-7 years old, they took 10km off my speed so i was 'ófficially' 10km/h over the limit, no point deducted

last month, they gave me 4km tolerance.
No lar, case 2 is $320 because just overspeed 15km. If the fine is $450 then must deduct points lar.
