there is a SMD meetup at the BMWOC
Me and mark are going
Dear Members
Its time for March edition of BMWOC Official Sunday Morning Drive. We propose to do things slightly differently this time around, we shall meet up in our normal meeting place in West Kowloon and head to Tai Po Industrial Area carpark for a group photoshoot and then for those who want to do some more driving, we can all head to Luk Keng for breakfast.
In view of the photoshoot arrangement, the meeting time is slightly earlier this time, we shall all meet at West Kowloon at 7:30 and aim for a 7:45 departure.
Here is the map:

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
Frankie, congratulations on obtaining new lifters. You'll love the new quiet car. You are also correct that newer cars have the improved parts.

The car is quiet, just I wanted to own it for an extensive period of time (need to wait till F10 LCI) so better change all potential troublesome parts, I've heard the bill for lifters replacement operation would be USD7K+ if the car does not have warranty!
