Latest news, yesterday I took my ride to AK's intending to put in the oem springs for the time being, while doing so he found the extreme low was actually unintended and was caused by combined problems actually:
1) my front suspensions are half dead already (yes, again, after putting in brother etchu's relatively young (done approx. 20,000km) 2nd hand suspension)
2) the Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs (Coil-over) I got really is "Extreme Lowering"; the front got lowered by 2"
3) the top cap of the front suspensions are both completely worn out
wow this sounds like a bad thing just changing springs on a e60.
did it crack at the top like keiths?

thanks for the info.
if and when I lower my car I will change the full set like keith and not just the spring.
I it all be fix buy next week.

Why not take it back to BMW for a free replacement? BMW parts covers 2 years warranty (if changed at BMW service centre), but d'oh... except the battery tho. Just get there and change a new alternator!
I thort it 1 year for parts

I watch the top gear last night in 720p and wow it is sharp.
I hope they keep the HD format for the next TGs.

The 7er is a mad car to drive.
the DD is very good but I still think itis good on sports cars and 3er
5er and 7er is abit wast of time to add DD when 95% of the time its just normal drive.

I think the new Z4 has the DD already as standard correct me if Im wrong

if the 5er is too soft then I would use the 60k to mod the car and not get DD
