Sorry to hear. Are you sure the battery drain or the alternator have issue?

wow there is some thing big is wrong to drain the battery, is it the hifi or maybe the alarm.
remember your alarm always gose off on it own.
maybe disable the alarm or better still get a new 3rd party alarm installed
some say it is the hifi that is still running after you turn off the engine.

should be easy to confirm if its something draining the battery when the car is off. a bit harder to locate whats causing the drain though. guess time for you to place an order for the f10

I would suspect the battery actually got drained, not faulty... I have seen how your car's alarm can go off on its own.... kinda spooked me now come to think of it... especially I watched the "Strange Talk" (怪談) last night. ~~WoooWOOwooooo~~

all makers are never 100% QC
this is why there are lemon cars
Capt... I know it is almost unavoidable that there will always be lemon cars sometimes with every brands or models, even with M.Benz or Porsche, unless we are buying cars with multimillion dollars price tags I suppose, however, I guess we all call ourselves being in love with BMW and all (particularly E60/E90/F10 here), when we criticize BMW I guess we should criticize them with soild grounds instead of just by impulse or just for fun; saying things like "don't buy cars from XX", or "XX cars suck", this really doesn't help solve the problem(s) unless one's intention was really here to discourage people/us here from buying again...

I am saying this because I guess it kinda ticked my nerves a little, especially in my line of business, I know how easy it is to smear or destroy a brand name, I believe you should be able to understand.... trust me I know how hard it is to build a brand name when a company have so many staffs... although I also had some issues with BMW's workshop once, I still kinda feel for BMW; I mean in a big workforce, someone are bound to be awful, the main thing is the management do take care of it and fix it... can I get the F10 now, BMWHK?

I believe the management would get the words passed and take care of the problem, I know they do come and read our posts here... right guys at BMWHK?

... I mean, you won't criticize your love ones and then tell everyone not to get involve in relationships right?

Sorry if I suddenly get so serious, could be one of those monthly bad mood...*HA*

I think you miss understand me.
yes they do read this forum not just BMWHK BMW dealers read it too in UK and US because I email them to read it.
this is why I always say the bad thing so that they can all read it and give room for them to improve on there brand name and make it even stronger brand.

If we the end user say nothing then they will never know how good or bad there product is.
I alway tell Hornington about how good or bad a product that I buy of them so they get a feedback.

they are the best of the best in HK
