for HK the roads are too short and to many objects in the way so even if they do work in town, live to say it too slow.
Use the free radars its better and faster
I bet the radio they use can go at least 1km, probably useful for scout team.

whats free radar?

for the laser 1 you will need to get the top model which are over $3000+
we have a friend that has 1 and can update the software.
the cheaper 1s are very useless I used to have 1 and did not work after 2 years so I stop buying them and my radars is the taxis.
if you drive fast, even the good one's warning come just a little late. I might just get one to find out which camera is active and watch taxi and minivans on the road.

is radio scanner any use for laser trap? I guess it will take too long.
small tomato and KC are right, radar is useless against laser gun. Cos laser gun only send signal when the cop press the button, car is already zapped when it detect the signal.

I have got a V1 and it's with the latest software.
Even you have the state of art radar, the main point is your speed will be locked on before you can slow down to a speed that could avoid a ticket. Say you are travelling 180kph on a 100kph speed limit road, you can hardly brake to 115 or below within a 1 second or 2.
Just my 2 cent
