yea the koni FSD is not bad, sport and comfy. It's the stock shocks for Gallardo too.
Then, at the end of last summer, I read an article in Roundel about a new shock absorber that Koni has developed, that they called "Frequency-Selective Damping", or FSD. The idea is that they can respond differently to high-frequency inputs vs. low-frequency ones: there is a valve inside that sits in parallel with the rest of the oil passages, but only opens when the shock is hit fast enough with sufficient force. This means that, for high-frequency inputs (those produced by the wheel when it hits a pothole or other significant bump), it can respond softly and soak up the impact, but for low-frequency ones (produced by the movement of the car body as you brake, corner, change lanes, etc.), it can respond stiffly. So, the idea is that, theoretically at least, these shocks can improve handling and ride quality simultaneously.
rest of the review below:

when mine goes, this will be top of my list as shocks replacement.

Go Go Go. You should ask your family to contribute for the repair since they also drive it. ![Laughing](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/laughing.gif)

back then when I studied in the uk, I went to my insurance company get a quote on additional premium if I wanted to upgrade my suspension. the agent asked why I wanted the upgrade. I told him my car was not stable going round corners. the guy gave me a dirty look, smiled and told me there would be no additional cost.

if ur family knows the braking power is at 60-70% due to the bad shocks, I am sure they will be v keen to have them replaced. the fsd is also comfy so it will work for them.

KC is the devil in sheep's clothing!!!
Koni were the best in the 80's, now its nice to see them come back
i think Bilstein, Koni etc,. all make special models for special cars oem
as flagship models.
i think we discussed last year that just changing the springs and not the shocks will put pressure on other parts
of the car, but i changed both, but it seems maybe my wife ran at full speed over some speed bumps, mind you my H&R
springs are a bit on the HARD side, she also scraped the whole side against a parking pillar the other day
