detailing certainly is an art to certain extent, just like hair styling or so. the sad reality for most business like this in HK is that rent is not cheap and fix running cost is high as a must. ppl needa get business done in a fast fashion to make a living... I guess detailing super cars at owners site might be a good idea. no rent for detailer, also customers don't need to worry about detailer having fun with their car.
If doing a pro detailing in HK I think a mobile detailing shop is much better for HK ppl

dentmaster, good job, but if too many dents then if eg.mended dents on the door,
and you take apart the door, there will be holes and niches where his sticks have been.
Maybe KC needs it with that dent he has!!

Keith - i will pay good bucks for your detailing, opening a shop will mean hiring people,
i go to Wilsons and in cwb is fast but not good, whilst at Airport express it is slow but good,
so hiring people is a problem if it gets big, but hiring a specialist and a van is no prb, just that u will
need to spend money on adverts etc,.
my car is at wilsons right now, i bought some of the autosol and will rub it on when they've finished

yes detailing is work of art to me so that is why I love doing it.
Its like building a 1:10 scale model of a battleship, need patient and efforts
yes I like to do it myself in weekends as well, so I can have some time alone in the park lot. away from wife and kid.

Just fast and make money.
maybe hire in UK and US.
if go premium, do it yourself don't hire. then charge enuf $$ for your time and cost.
