Homelink garage door opener only works if engine is on

Ya i know what you ment. but I just find it odd that Toyota / Lexus allows for the Homelink to work without a key but yet do not allow for the NAV to be programmed while the car is moving yet BMW allows that. So apparently they think one thing is unsafe while another is safe... Oh I still think it would be smart for BMW to use residule power, like the windows till the door is open then to allow operation of the Homelink after the car is just shut off. Oh wells. Win a few lose a few.
