So i was reading thru a post and saw the homelink thread...saw the homelink number and gave them a ring...ive tried to read the BMW book of knowledge ...and tried to figure out how to program it no luck...same with my other cars...and they actually gave me that one push i needed...there is a security button in the motor of the garage door opener that needs to be pushed before activation is complete...i was so excited after it worked...couldnt stop playing with it

The whole thing is a little confusing for people. My dealership actually gave me a supplement "hand out" on how it really works. That was the goods.

A buddy of mine has an Acura MDX that he still can't program.

Give him the "hand out" your dealer gave you. The same instructions I followed on my car let me program my wife's MDX. It had gone unprogrammed for 2 years until I got those instructions. Unfortunatley I had to find them on another unamed forum, not in the manual or from my dealer, but they did the trick.
