Yep, now 51,000 this week. Other than my car telling me to change the plugs and get a service check, is there anything in particular that I should check, have checked, or replaced? It was difficult watching the odometer flip over. :'( Thankfully I purchased the extended care plan to 100,000.

Brakes and rotors.

Had the front ones replaced under warranty about 20,000 miles ago. Rear ones indicate replacement in 18,000 miles. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yep, I know it was hard watching it flip over to 51,000 miles, but you know they say our BMW's are not broke in good until the first 150,000 miles! I wish that was true, but we know their high quality and performance cars that should not give us any trouble as long as maintained properly for the first 100,000 miles, and your iDrive should tell you when all the services are due.

13 months and 33000 miles for me.

This may sound dumb but how much does servicing/ oil change cost q 15000miles. Is it really worth getting the 100000 mile warranty. And if anything breaks during this time, should the insurance not cover it. I have the umbrella insurance.

hey what kind of umbrella insurance do you have? -- i typically only hear about that when people talk about liability insurance.

thanks!

I'm not too good with insurance terms. Being a physician, my insurance agent told me that I should have an umbrella insurance; I'm not sure if that only deals with liability.

I've never heard any insurance to pay for car repairs. Sounds like you confusing insurance with warranty.
